This notice describes the instructor-request form on this public website. It is not a booking, payment, or account privacy policy for the Get Driving Instructor booking page or the GDI App.
This website does not collect card details.
Who operates this website
Get Driving Instructor (GDI) operates this public marketing website at getdrivinginstructor.co.nz. A street address and a public inbox are not published on this site.
Instructor request — what is collected
If you use Request an Instructor, the browser sends these fields over HTTPS as JSON to /request/submit on this website: full name, email, phone, area or suburb, licence stage, service required, preferred days, preferred times (AM/PM bands), instructor preference, and optional notes. The form must not be used for licence numbers, dates of birth, medical details, card numbers, or destination overrides.
Purpose
GDI uses those details only to review instructor suitability and to contact you about the next step. A submitted request is an enquiry. It does not book a lesson, allocate an instructor, block a calendar, or take payment.
Where the request goes
The website function emails the request to GDI operations. The recipient address is set on the server and cannot be changed from the browser. An email-delivery provider is used only to send that message. This form does not write a customer, student, or booking record in Operational GDI.
Technical records
The hosting platform may keep short-lived technical records used to limit repeat submissions and detect duplicates. Those records are not a customer database.
Marketing
This form does not collect marketing-consent and is not a newsletter signup.
Booking and payment
If you later book a lesson, you leave this form and complete booking and payment on the Get Driving Instructor booking page. Payment success there means a booking is confirmed. Payment failed means a booking is not confirmed. An abandoned payment means no confirmed booking. That flow is separate from this request form.
Funded and agency learners
Programme or funded learners should follow their organisation’s process rather than treating a public request or a private booking button as an automatic placement.
